Snow can be so pretty. We know that. We know it is good for the many lakes and rivers. We also know that we needed sun this spring. So, we loaded our bicycles up on the back of the car the day after a beautiful, big snowstorm. We drove South about 400 miles to the desert. Flashy flowers
were in bloom everywhere. However, our car and bicycles had to be scrubbed down! The slush, snow, and rain on the highways before we hit the warm sun made everything nasty. A car wash and hose to clean up the messy bicycles was one of the first things on our agenda when we made it into the sunshine.

Springtime in the desert screams Spring-training baseball, buttery popcorn, hotdogs dripping with mustard and ketchup, and a big tart lemonade at the ballpark. We rode our bikes to the game, so the hotdogs and popcorn were even more delicious! We met up with some great friends and laughed and talked about when our kids played Little League baseball. Then we would focus back on the game and watch the new kids for the Rockies show off their amazing baseball skills.

Doesn’t the warm sun make you feel like sitting outside with a charcuterie board in the evening? How about tasting my spicy Shrimp Ceviche by the pool? A glass of wine, a warm breeze, and discussing the days events on the back patio are what our life is like right now. The abundance of fresh veggies here makes me think I will whip up another batch of Shrimp Ceviche and invite some friends over to lounge by the pool tomorrow.
