Classes
I teach classes related to cooking foods in many types of settings, whether it is in your kitchen, my kitchen, an AirBNB kitchen, on a houseboat or on a grill. I have detailed classes that range from formal table settings to camping fun. I have organized a formal sit-down dinner for 400 people to cooking burgers, brats, pizzas, and more, on the grill, by the lake, for 2 to 20 people. Having fun with food and people wherever you are is my area of expertise.
I can teach online (through zoom) or in-person at your house or mine.
Here is an example of a class. Please contact me if you have questions at travelingkitchensus@gmail.com
Table-Setting Etiquette
How to set a proper table or buffet line
Are you setting a table for a special meal? Need to know how, where, and why table-settings are important? Do you have business clients or in-laws that you want to dress the table for and make it look special? Do you know which side of the guest to serve and why? Do you know which way to pass the food if you are eating family style? Do you prefer a buffet setting? How do you get it to look interesting? How do you keep the line from getting bogged down? Do you know what and why you use chargers?
These are just some of the questions you might have, and I can answer them for you.
I will walk you through the placement of all formal and informal settings, from silverware, plates, salad and bread plates, soup bowls, and all of the wine and water glasses. We can discuss napkin placement, buffet set up, and everything in between.
